INTRODUCTION

At Macedon Ranges Shiatsu & Kinesiology, I am deeply committed to supporting your health & healing journey, whatever that may look like for you. I strive to provide safe, ethical & effective therapy to all my clients.

This document outlines the Terms & Conditions you need to be aware of when engaging my services.

Please take a moment to read this so that you have clarity around expectations & the nature of our relationship moving forward, should you wish to.

If you do not agree with what is outlined on this page, you should discontinue visiting this website & find someone who can serve you in a more aligned way.

By accessing the services offered here, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Macedon Ranges Shiatsu & Kinesiology reserves the right to refuse service to any client who fails to comply with these terms & conditions.

These terms & conditions may be changed or modified occasionally. Please check back from time to time to ensure you are aware of any changes we have made.

We reserve the right to refuse service to any client for any reason.

Macedon Ranges Shiatsu & Kinesiology refrain from providing services to clients who are classified as ‘high risk’ for suicide.

Should a client reveal any history of suicidal attempts within the past 3-6 months or a significant attempt that the client’s GP is not aware of, Macedon Ranges Shiatsu & Kinesiology will promptly communicate with the client's GP to inform them.

If a client discloses current suicidal thoughts with the intention to act on them, Macedon Ranges Shiatsu & Kinesiology will inform the local safeguarding authority & call emergency services.

Services provided are for educational, informational & therapeutic purposes only & are not a substitute for medical advice.

MRSK is not liable for any damages or losses from using our services.

MRSK reserves the right to modify or discontinue services at any time without notice.

The client must provide a valid email address & contact information & inform us of any updates or changes as soon as possible

The client is responsible for their own physical, mental & emotional health.

NATURE OF THERAPY

MRSK offers Shiatsu, Kinesiology & Spirit Magic.

Shiatsu is a form of Japanese massage that uses traditional Chinese Medicine principles. It aims to clear blockages & imbalances so that the body can restore & return to its natural state of equilibrium & health.

Kinesiology is a holistic therapy that uses muscle testing to identify any areas of imbalance that may be impeding your health & wellbeing. Imbalances identified may be related to the physical, emotional, energetic or spiritual aspects of a person.

Spirit Magic is an energetic & spiritual healing modality. It works with the underlying premise that first & foremost we are energetic beings & it is from our energetic nature that our physical body & experience is constructed. I work with angels; guides & many beings of light that can help support your energetics. Simultaneously I use my intuition & clairvoyant abilities & communicate with this ‘team’ to support you in the most aligned & appropriate ways, helping to bring you relief.

DISCLAIMER

MRSK cannot ’fix’ you, this does not mean you won’t feel fantastic after a session, this means I can only create a space where you can drop into yourself & listen to your deep inner knowing of what it is you need to effect the changes that you want to see…only you truly know what it is you need to change & shift.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY

You know your body better than I do; you are the authority & director of what is good for it & what is not.

The moment something is not right, doesn’t feel right or elicits a response of some sort, it is the client’s responsibility to let us know so that we can change as required.

To maintain a safe space, we require your feedback during sessions.

You are the leader in this process & it is your responsibility to communicate what is happening for you.

CONSENT

Macedon Ranges Shiatsu & Kinesiology will always ask for your consent to process your information so that we may provide the highest service to you.

Clients may withdraw consent at any time.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Macedon Ranges Shiatsu & Kinesiology is committed to protecting the privacy & security of the personal information you share with us.

All sessions are confidential & are not shared with any third parties.

Personal details will never be shared without your written consent.

However, if I believe that you may be at risk of harming yourself or others, I am required by law to contact the appropriate support services.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose & protect your personal & health information.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT & HOW:

Macedon Ranges Shiatsu & Kinesiology collects personal Information.

Personal information refers to any information that identifies or can be used to identify, contact or locate your person.

This includes:

Your name, contact information(address/phone/email) & date of birth.
We also collect information pertaining to your health, any related health problems, lifestyle habits, goals & challenges.
Session notes, your feedback & progress details from our sessions together.

Primarily, this information is collected in our sessions together through discussing your history, talking about what is happening for you currently & what you would like to achieve.

Information may also be collected through correspondence via phone, email, through the website & referrals from other therapists.

USE OF YOUR INFORMATION:

We use your personal & health information primarily to provide the most appropriate & tailored treatment plan for you moving forward in your health & wellbeing.

Providing this information is voluntary, but without it, we may not be able to provide our service.

We may also use your information for marketing purposes/mailing lists, which you can unsubscribe from at any time.

SECURITY OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

All information recorded will be stored securely & retained according to the Privacy Act 2020 & the Health Information Code 2020.

Client files are required to be stored securely for a minimum of 7 years, or up to the age of 25 for children, after which time they will be destroyed.

DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION.

Your personal Information may only be disclosed/shared with a third party with your written consent.

MRSK must, however, share personal information when required by law.

CODE OF CONDUCT

As a member of both the Shiatsu Therapy Association of Australia https://www.staa.org.au/ & the Australian Institute of Kinesiology https://aik.org.au/, I am committed to upholding the highest levels of moral & professional conduct as laid out by these governing bodies.

BOOKINGS, RESCHEDULING & CANCELLATIONS

Bookings can be made via the Calendly link on the website https://calendly.com/e-chehab52 or direct via email/text message.

Bookings can be made no less than 48 hours in advance pending availability.

When you are booking a session with me you are booking my time.

If you cancel/reschedule at short notice or forget your appointment, I am unable to replace or offer this time to other clients.

I value your time & mine, therefore I request that a minimum of 24hrs notice be given for cancellation or rescheduling.

Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hrs notice will be charged at 50% of the full session fee.

We understand that life happens. In the case of an unplanned emergency, please advise us at your earliest convenience.

If, due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness or injury prevents me from delivering a session I will reschedule at a mutually agreeable time as soon as possible. If payment has been made prior to your appointment & rescheduling is not possible MRSK will offer a full refund.

CONFIRMING YOUR BOOKING

You will receive a booking confirmation before your treatment.

Please note, if you do not confirm your appointment, your appointment will be cancelled OR I will assume you no longer want your booked time slot.

PAYMENT METHODS

Macedon Ranges Shiatsu & Kinesiology accept card payments, direct transfer & cash.

Payment is to be made on the same day services are rendered without exception.

Gift Vouchers are redeemable for 3 years from purchase.

AGREEMENT, ACKNOWLEDGEMENT & WAIVER

By proceeding with a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood & agreed to these terms & conditions.

When making a booking, you agree & acknowledge that participation in any MRSK treatment, you voluntarily & knowingly recognise, accept & assume any risk.

You take full responsibility for your wellbeing during & after the session.

MRSK shall not be nor deemed responsible for any injury, illness or mishap arising from or out of, or in any way directly or indirectly connected with the treatment provided by MRSK.

By booking a session you agree to indemnify & will at all time hereafter well & sufficiently indemnify & keep indemnified MRSK against all actions, suits, causes of action, proceedings, claims, costs & expenses whatsoever which may be taken or made against MRSK or become payable by MRSK, with or arising out of any such injury, illness or mishap to the you the client.

The fees paid for treatment are non-refundable.

MRSK may in its sole discretion grant refunds to a client without prejudicing any of its rights.
